This idea started out as a calling from the Lord. As a current athletic trainer, and former athlete, I am by no means an author, nor have I ever dreamed of publishing a book. However, in 2020, I felt the Lord placed this idea on my heart for a 365-day devotional for athletes. Initially, I felt like I was the wrong guy for the right idea, but after several weeks of prayer I decided to trust the Lord and embark on this journey. It was through these same prayers that I felt like the Lord was directing me not to write the entirety of the devotional using my sole voice. Instead, the idea He was placing on my heart was to gather 364 other Christian athletes from different sports, levels, and backgrounds to also write an entry for this book so that it could reach as broad of an audience as possible. After writing my entry, I reached out to a small handful of about 30 close friends and family members, who are also current and former athletes, to explain my heart for the project and recruit them to be a part of it. Not only did I ask them to write an entry, but I also asked them to refer additional Christian athletes they knew outside of my current circle. Those athletes agreed to join the project and refer me on to more athletes. Thus began a multiple year process of gathering numbers, sharing my heart for this project, and recruiting Christian athletes from all over the world to be a part of this devotional. What you are about to read is the collection of how Jesus Christ has impacted 365 current and retired, college and professional athletes through each of our sports. We are sharing with you what the Lord has taught us in our time as athletes and hope it encourages you to draw nearer to Him both in and out of your sport.

From the start of this project, it was agreed upon that not a single athlete, including myself, will receive a penny from this book. We wanted to fully surrender this project to the Lord, including the money. 100% of the proceeds generated by this book is being donated to charity.
